From 5th December to 13th December, Le Manoir will host four evenings of Christmas Carolling concerts including a Veuve Clicquot champagne reception, as well as a four-course dinner with wines, tea, coffee, and petit fours.
Performing on the 5th will be the Trinity Boys Choir, who are in fact one of the busiest and most successful boy’s choirs in the world. They have enjoyed a high professional profile, both at home and abroad for over fifty years. Hosting the evening will be Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons’ very own chef patron, Raymond Blanc OBE.
The Christchurch Cathedral Choir will be performing on 6th December, and the evening will be hosted by actress Liza Goddard. The Christchurch Cathedral Choir is revered for the vibrancy of its sound and its artistic flexibility, performing early and contemporary music with equal skill. Over the years the choir has provided a perfect platform for singers to progress to other award-winning choral groups such as the BBC Singers, The Sixteen, The King’s Singers, The Tallis Scholars, and The Cardinall’s Musick as well as to solo careers in oratorio, opera, and musical theatre.
On the 12th, the evening will be hosted by British actress, Lucy Fleming. She will be joined by the Nonsuch Singers, the choir has gained a reputation for stylistic versatility in a cappella and accompanied works ranging from the Renaissance to the present day. It has frequently sought to make less familiar music accessible by exploring connections between works by established composers and lesser-known contemporary works. The choir of some 40 members typically gives six or seven concerts a year, mostly in prominent London venues but also further afield, regularly performing with some of the UK’s leading instrumental ensembles and finest young vocal soloists.
The Royal Holloway Choir will be performing with host Classic FM radio presenter Zeb Soanes on 13th December. The Choir of Royal Holloway is considered to be one of the finest university choirs in Britain. The choir was created at the time of the foundation of Royal Holloway College in 1886 and was originally only for women’s voices. The group, comprised of 20 choral scholars and an organ scholar, is directed by Rupert Gough and undertakes a busy schedule of weekly services and concerts, international tours, recordings, and live broadcasts.
Clive Conway Productions presents the upcoming four evenings, we have been providing the choirs and speakers for over thirty years for the series and it has proved an annual favourite.
