The 14th Annual Desmond Tutu International Peace Lecture will take place on 23rd November 2024 at the CTICC in Cape Town.
This year’s lecture is a special occasion for the Desmond and Leah Tutu Legacy Foundation as they celebrated 40 years since Archbishop Tutu’s Nobel Peace Prize win and continue to celebrate 30 years of freedom in South Africa
As the Desmond and Leah Tutu Legacy Foundation reflect on the 40 year since Arch's Nobel Peace Prize win, in the interview conducted by Marika Griehsel whilst in Sweden in September 2007, the Arch talks about the attributes that make leaders like himself strong when facing adversity as well as how to overcome conflict, continue standing up against current issues and how the Nobel Prize played a crucial role in ending apartheid in South Africa.
