Tutu makes top five in list of world's most spiritually influential people

Great to see that Archbishop Desmond Tutu comes in at number five in the Watkins’ 2021 list of the 100 Most Spiritually Influential Living People.
The 89-year-old Nobel Peace Prize winning anti-apartheid activist and lifelong campaigner for social justice makes the top five in this impressive catalogue of world -changing spiritual teachers, activists, authors and thinkers.
The South African cleric comes in just beneath Eckhart Tolle in fourth place and the entire Black Lives Matter movement, in at number three. While the Dalai Lama came second and the top spot when to Pope Francis.
The list is published in print in the Winter 2021 issue of Watkins Mind Body Spirit magazine.
Watkins bookshop in London has been encouraging spiritual discovery and providing seekers with esoteric knowledge for over 120 years.
In 2011 it  started publishing the 100 list with the goal of celebrating the world’s living spiritual teachers. It’s special magazine issue features 16 pages dedicated to interesting details, bios, photos and highlights about each person on the list.
